Is Lagree Fitness the same as Pilates?
As much as we love Pilates, the Lagree Method is different. PLNK is low impact just like the Pilates you know but incredibly High-Intensity, Low-Impact. Imagine if bootcamp and Pilates had a baby, that would be PLNK Lagree Fitness.
What is a megaformer?
A Megaformer is a Pilates Reformer, but On Steroids. While the Reformer challenges the body during Pilates the Megaformer merges Pilates with cardio in a High-Intensity, Low-Impact way. The Megaformer was designed by trainer and CEO of Lagree Fitness, Sebastien Legree.
How often should I take a Lagree Fitness class?
We can’t tell you what to do but we suggest showing up at least three times per week if you’re looking for those long, sculpted, toned muscles…and who isn’t?
Is this a small group fitness class?
Yes! We have 14 Megaformers available. Our top-notch instructors will push you, motivate you, and make you sweat. There’s a reason we’re known for being the Best Small Group Fitness Studio in St. Louis.
Do you accept walk ins for your small group fitness classes?
Nope. With only 14 spots available we ask that everyone sign up through MindBody in advance of class. We would hate for you to make a trip only to find no available Megaformers.
What are your accepted forms of payment?
All classes must be registered for and paid for in advance through MindBody. MindBody accepts all major debit and credit cards.
What if it’s my first time Doing a Lagree Fitness WORKOUT?
Yay! Welcome to PLNK! Please sign up for class through MindBody and plan to arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of class for a quick Megaformer orientation and studio tour. New workouts can be intimidating- we promise the Megaformers are easy to use and we don’t bite.
What if I’m running late?
We get it. Life happens. While it is our recommendation that you arrive five minutes before class if you cannot, your spot may be given to a standby student and you may be charged for a late cancel. If no one claims your spot you’re welcome to join us up to five minutes after your scheduled class time. After that, please reschedule.
How long is a Lagree Fitness class?
Each class is 50 minutes long. Trust us. It’s plenty.
What do I need to bring to MY LAGREE FITNESS class?
Your strong self. Preferably in snug, breathable clothing. Water is always recommended (don’t worry, we sell it in the studio if you forget). We have towels that you are welcome to use. Please mute cell phones and leave all jewelry at home.
Do I have to use socks on the Megaformer?
It’s just cleaner that way. We ask that all of our clients use sticky socks to practice. Socks are available to purchase in studio and if you forget you can rent a pair for $3.
Do you have showers?
Yes! We have two large private showers that are yours to use after you sweat. Which we guarantee you will.
How old do you have to be?
We ask that all clients be at least 18 years of age. If you are 14 years or older and accompanied by an adult (who signs a waiver) we would love to have you.
What if I’m pregnant?
It’s not recommended to start a new workout mid pregnancy, however, we’re comfortable with you practicing as long as you and your physician are. There’s always a modification available.
